RateBeer’s Best was again the largest beer competition in the world — more than 140,000 beers from over 12,000 brewers worldwide were tallied. A particular emphasis was placed on tastings made in the last twelve months. We at Hoppin’ Frog are prouder than ever to be RateBeer’s 20th Best Brewery In The World for 2012!

B.O.R.I.S The Crusher Oatmeal Imperial Stout Wins The Gold At The 2011 GABF
Hoppin’ Frog Brewery won the Gold Medal for B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher Oatmeal Imperial Stout at the 2011 Great American Beer Festival held in Denver, Colorado. The GABF is considered one of the premier beer competitions in the world, and 516 breweries competed for awards in 83 different catagories. Over 4000 beers were judged in the competition. This is the second Gold Medal for B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher, having also won the competition in 2008. Congratulations Fred and staff.
Barrel Aged Naked Evil BBW Belgian-style Barley Wine-style Ale Wins A Bronze At The 2011 GABF
Hoppin’ Frog Brewery won the Bronze medal for Barrel Aged Naked Evil BBW Belgian-style Barley Wine-style Ale, in one of the largest catagories at the GABF: The “Wood and Barrel Aged Strong Beer” catagory.

2010 Great American Beer Festival GOLD MEDAL! – Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin ale
Hoppin’ Frog won the gold medal in the field style category for Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale! There’s a Place just south they call Frog’s Hollow, with cauldrons afire in Fall, and they only speak in whispers of the name. There’s a brewery they say who has the secret, of spices picked just right. With a crying shout, they’ll knock it out, and hand you this Frog’s delight.

Hoppin’ Frog Wins 5 Medals in Four Catagories At The International Beer Fest
We are very proud to have such a great response at the Cleveland International Beer Fest at the I X Center. Hoppin’ Frog Brewery won two GOLD and three SILVER Medals! GOLD Medals were awarded for the super-flavorful, DORIS The Destroyer Double Imperial Stout, and for the new summer thirst-quencher, Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale! It’s made with real lemon juice, real sugar, and real Pilsner malt for a really crisp refreshing balance of flavors – It won the hearts and taste-buds of the beer judges. And the three SILVER Medals were awarded to Hoppin’ Frog for BORIS Oatmeal-Imperial Stout, Barrel-Aged BORIS Stout, and for the brand new Cafe BORIS Imperial Coffee Stout – it should hit the shelves before winter sets in! Looks like Hoppin’ Frog Brewery owned the Imperial Stout category! Thanks to everyone who has supported Hoppin’ Frog through our nearly 5 years in brewing!
